Gorilla Crystal Clear Mounting Tape
Clear mounting tape can tidy up a permanent attachment where a visible fixing would spoil the finish. It is a different proposition from a removable picture strip: buy it because you want the object to stay put.

What it offers
Gorilla markets this as a permanent, double-sided mounting tape for indoor and outdoor use. The manufacturer requires clean, dry surfaces and good contact across the bond. Some plastics, including polyethylene and polypropylene, are excluded.
Where it makes sense
The clear backing is particularly relevant when the edge of a fixing may be seen. However, transparent tape cannot disguise an uneven joint or dirt beneath it. We would measure the contact area and test the positioning before exposing the adhesive; a full-contact mounting surface is more useful than a headline maximum load.
What to check first
Do not treat an advertised load as a promise for every wall, temperature or object. Surface coatings can detach even if the tape itself holds. Removal can leave residue or lift paint, so this is a poor choice for a rental wall where reversibility matters. Check the package for the material, load and temperature limits.
